About Zenutrients

How did Zenutrients start?
  • The brand began in 2007 as ZEN, as then-creator & his family suffered from skin asthma and psoriasis. He wanted a healthy, natural skin care alternative and found that using Virgin Coconut Oil worked for his family.
  • ZEN began by bottling & selling Virgin Coconut Oil, which rapidly expanded to related lines: soaps, massage oils, lotions, shampoos & the like.
How is Zenutrients different from other brands?

Manufacturing & Ingredients

Where is Zenutrients made?
  • All Zenutrients products are handcrafted by us at our production site in Manila, at 57 East Capitol Drive, Bgy Kapitolyo, Pasig.
Are Zenutrients products cruelty-free? What about vegan? Safe for pregnant women and children?
  • All Zenutrients products are cruelty-free, we do not test on any animals (ever!).
  • Generally, all our products are vegan, with the exception of products that contain milk (such as the Goat's Milk Butter).
  • Which means yes, all our products are vegetarian.
  • All our products are also safe for use by pregnant women, but of course we suggest showing your doctor our products should you want to make sure.
  • Our products are safe for children, but we suggest double checking with your doctor on products that contain peppermint for infants.
  • If you're unsure, we also suggest heading to any of our outlets, using the tester to do a patch test. Apply the product on a small area on the inside of your arm and observe for 20-30 minutes for any reactions.
What ingredients does Zenutrients use?
  • We use a lot of ingredients as we have hundreds of products! So if you want to know more, all our products do have the ingredient list on the back label. We do tend to use a lot of Virgin Coconut Oil / Coconut Oil and various Essential Oils across most of our product ranges.
What are the benefits of Virgin Coconut Oil?
  • Coconut oil is a wonderful superfood for skin & hair. It can be ingested or applied topically. Coconut oil’s antioxidant effects can help protect against free radicals—its loaded with Vitamin E & lauric acid —so it heals and repair damaged skin and hair. The medium-chain fatty acids are also easily absorbed, can strengthen connective tissue and help with exfoliation.
  • It’s the perfect all-over moisturizer - you can apply onto ends for dry hair, onto skin after showering, even directly on rashes, eczema and psoriasis.
What are the benefits of essential oils?
  • Essential oils have been used for thousands of years to heal and improve physical & mental health for thousands of years. Many essential oils can be applied topically to ease inflammation and alleviate pain.
  • While others have antiseptic and antifungal properties are also used to disinfect and heal cuts, abrasions and other wounds and skin conditions. Yet others are used for soothing & treating tight muscles and increasing circulation.

Product FAQ

General Questions

  1. How is Zenutrients different from other brands?

    We are a locally produced, 100% Filipino brand. We manage the brand from end to end, from sourcing, to production and to retail. Other than that, we are unique because we make really delicious, great-to-use products that truly work. Zenutrients products have a “yummy” quality to them, and we always want to make your in-use experience as delicious as possible.

  2. What is the difference between natural and organic?

    This refers to the source ingredient and how it was grown. So for example – an apple is, of course, natural. If the apple is grown on a farm that uses zero chemicals, using an agreed set of standards on what makes a farm organic (farming practices, production methods, sustainable) then it also becomes an ORGANICALLY GROWN apple.

  3. Why do product color and consistency vary, even with the same product?

    All our products are made with natural and sometimes even raw ingredients, dry ingredients, oils and extracts. There will be inconsistencies and differences – because that’s only natural. Of course, as every person is different, if there are any doubts, it's always good to check with your doctor what you're allergic to. This only means we are trying to give you the ingredients in their most natural, untouched state. Which to us, also means a better quality product.

  4. Are your products safe for pregnant women and children?

    Yes, all our products are safe for women and children. For infants and newborns, we would suggest avoiding items with mint, such as the Muscle Balm and Eucalyptus & Peppermint Massage Oil. Of course, as every person is different, if there are any doubts, it's always good to check with your doctor what you're allergic to. For any age: always do a patch test by applying small amount on inside of arm, watch for reactions for 30 mins to 1 hour. If there are no reactions, product is safe to apply.

  5. Do your products contain parabens?

    All Zenutrients products are paraben free. Parabens are the most widely used preservatives in personal care products; they stop fungus, bacteria and other microbes from growing in your favorite creams and makeup, especially in the moist, warm environment of a bathroom. Their names are a mouthful - methylparaben, ethylparaben, propylparaben, butylparaben and isobutylparaben. People believe there may be links to the presence of parabens and cancer, although there is no direct evidence as of the moment.

  6. Are your products FDA approved?

    Yes we have an FDA License to Operate and Product FDA approval as well.

Repellants

  1. Are your repellants DEET free?

    Yes; all are DEET free.

  2. Are your repellants safe for childen?

    For newborns and infants under 6 months of age, best to consult with your doctor before using.

  3. Are your repellants safe for cats and dogs?

    All are safe for dogs. Do not use the citronella repellants on cats.

Spa & Wellness

  1. What is the difference between the Single Blends, Regular Blends and Special Blends?

    Single Blend: lower dose essential oil + coconut oil.

    Regular Blend: more complex mix of essential oils + coconut oil.

    Special Blend: higher doses of essential oils + coconut oil.

    All oils are great for massages, as after shower oils, post workout too, so it’s really a matter of preference.

  2. Why do the oils solidify?

    Our massage oils all contain coconut oil, which tends to solidify in cooler temperatures. This is a normal characteristic of coconut oil (in fact, it would be weird if it didn't solidify!). Just leave in a warm area or put the bottle in a cup of hot water to melt.

  3. Is your VCO Food Supplement Cold Press or Hot press? What’s the difference?

    It is cold pressed. During cold pressing, the oil from the coconut meat is mechanically pressed at temperatures not exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit, to preserve its health benefits. Pure cold-pressed coconut oil is also not refined, processed or deodorized.

  4. Is your argan oil edible?

    Yes, both the Argan and the pure Virgin Coconut Oil are edible.

  5. Is camphor safe?

    Camphor essential oil has many benefits: it boosts the circulatory system, antiseptic, decongestant, anti-inflammatory and disinfectant. It is safe, but of course you shouldn’t ingest it.

  6. Why is ginger not suitable for people with high blood pressure?

    Because it helps blood circulation, ginger isn’t recommended for high blood pressure only because it may lead to hypertension. There are no documented cases of hypertention from massaging ginger oil, but best to be safe and be careful.

  7. What is the difference between the Ginger Oil in pump and Ginger Massage Oil?

    The difference is in the dosage. Ginger massage oil has a lower concentration of Ginger, as it is meant to spread all over the body.

  8. What is the origin of Epsom Salts? What are Epsom Salts made up of? What is the difference between Epsom salts and Bath Salts?

    Epsom Salts are mainly made of Magnesium Sulfate. It is entirely different from regular salt, which is made of sodium chloride. It isn’t actually a “salt” – it is a pure mineral compound of magnesium sulfate in crystal form, it looks like salt, but it has no sodium chloride. They’re called Epsom Salts because they originated from Epsom, England, where it was discovered.

    Bath salts may contain other ingredients as part of a proprietary blend, so it could have Epsom, it could have regular salt, it could have Himalayan salt, it does not necessarily have Epsom salt as part of their ingredients. Best to read ingredients of bath salts to check what’s really inside it. Zenutrients only has Epsom Salts.

  9. What can the Magnesium Sulfate of Epsom Salts do?

    Magnesium is crucial to healthy cell functioning in our bodies, and helps to regulate more than 325 enzymes. Symptoms of mineral deficiency include headaches, backaches, neck pain and muscle discomfort.

    Sulfate, or sulfur, is found in literally every cell in the human body and has a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing overall health. Sulfur is essential for the health of skin, nails, and hair, and is crucial for the production of collagen. It also has been shown to purify and condition the body, and has detoxifying properties.

    Deficiency in sulfur may lead to full body exhaustion and lethargy.

  10. Is it safe to use burner oils on Humidifier?

    It is safe, but we suggest not to, our burner oils are meant for well – burning. Most humidifiers may clog with the coconut oil in the burner oils.

Haircare

  1. Where did Gugo bark come from?

    It is a large woody vine that climbs in the forest canopy. It commonly grows wild in lowland forests near the sea or places that has mild to tropical climates. It can also be found in Africa, other Asian countries such as Malaysia, Indonesia and in the Pacific islands.

  2. Do you make shampoo and conditioner in one?

    No, because shampoos are meant to clean (and as such remove stuff, like dirt from hair); while conditioners are meant to moisturize (and so "stay" in hair). Since they have opposing functions, we don't want to dilute the shampoo for being a conditioner too, and so we don't make shampoo and conditoner in one.

Skincare

  1. At what age should we start exfoliating and start using moisturizing creams?

    As exfoliation can help treat breakouts, and we all know that teenagers are prone to breakouts, think best in your early teens (13-15 years old). Just don’t go overboard. When you’re first starting out, exfoliating two times a week is enough. You can always increase frequency later on, if your skin can tolerate it. Unless you have sensitive skin, then, once a week will do. For moisturizing, it can also start in your early teens, but may be best to use lighter moisturizers, unless skin is very dry then a heavier moisturizer is workable.

  2. Can we keep moisturizing creams in the fridge?

    Yes.

  3. What’s the difference between opaque and glycerine soap?

    Main Ingredient. All opaque soaps have a coconut oil base, while all glycerine soaps have a vegetable glycerine base.

  4. What’s the difference between Soothing Eye Cream and Ginger Eye Cream?

    Ingredients. Ginger Eye Cream is made with Coconut Oil and Ginger. Coconut oil is a natural way to treat wrinkles. Free radicals are one of the main causes of pre-mature ageing of skin. The antioxidant property of coconut oil helps remove free radicals, thus slowing down the ageing process. Coconut oil also helps in lifting dry skin, which can be a cause of wrinkles. The addition of Ginger provides an immediate tightening effect. Specifically developed to support the integrity of the skin around the eye, it increases blood flow to help reduce puffiness, increase elasticity and diminish inflammation.

  5. What’s the difference between Lotion and Body Butter? But why is that your lotions seem to be more concentrated than your body butter?

    When we say butter, it is more concentrated than lotion. The pure range of lotions (Pure Light, Fresh Start, Argan, Delicious) are heavier in feel compared to the butters. But the butters are heavier than our regular blend lotion.

  6. How many months does it take to see results from using whitening / lightening products? Is it okay to be exposed from sunlight?

    We can’t put a time frame as it also depends on the person’s genetics, lifestyle and habits. Yes okay to be exposed to sunlight, but of course it may take longer to see lightening effects if there’s constant sun exposure.

How do you ship your orders?

The shipping courier will depend on where the order will be sent to. We will be using a variety of couriers to service your order.

Where do you ship your items to?

We can ship almost anywhere in the country.

What are your shipping rates?

Shipping rates vary depending on the number of items as well as the shipping location. You can view the shipping cost when you view your Shopping Bag.

How long will it take for my order to arrive?

Your order will arrive depending on your shipping location and the items you ordered. Ordinarily, orders will arrive between 1 to 3 business days within Metro Manila and 5 to 7 business days in provincial areas.

How do I track my order?

We will be providing you with a tracking number once your order is shipped. You can use this number to track your order via the courier's website.

Do you provide free shipping?

From time to time, Zenutrients runs free shipping promotions. To be notified by e-mail, simply sign up to the Zenutrients newsletter. Please note that free shipping promotions will be applied to your order on the payment page.

Terms and Conditions

Zenutrients.com.ph's ("Zenutrients", "we", "us") website(s) (our "Site" or "Sites") and related services are made available to you pursuant to the following Terms of Use & Service and any other rules posted on our Sites (collectively, the "TOS"). Please read the TOS carefully before placing any orders on Zenutrients.com.ph. We recommend you should keep a copy of the TOS for future reference.

In particular, we wish to draw your attention to our policies relating to the terms of purchase within the TOS and our Privacy Policy. If you are under 18, you must let your parent or guardian knows about Zenutrients.com.ph's Privacy Policy before you register to use this Site or any of this Site's services. We reserve the right to only accept orders from those over 18 however.

We may modify the TOS from time to time. Please read the TOS and check back often. If you do not agree to any change to the TOS, then you must immediately stop using the Site. Any changes made after you have placed an order will not affect that order however, unless we are required to make the change by law.

To use some of the services or features made available to you on this Site, you will need to register. When you register, you are required to provide information about yourself that is true, accurate, current and complete in all respects. Eligibility to Purchase

In order to make purchases through the Site, you will be requested to register and provide your personal details. In particular, Customers must provide their real name, phone number, e-mail address and other requested information as indicated. Furthermore, when ordering items, you will be required to provide payment details and you represent and warrant that the payment details you provide on ordering are both valid and correct and you confirm that you are the person referred to in the Billing information provided.

The Site is available but not limited to individuals and others who meet the Zenutrients.com.ph terms of eligibility, who have been issued a valid credit card by a bank acceptable to Zenutrients.com.ph, whose applications are acceptable to Zenutrients.com.ph and who have authorized Zenutrients.com.ph to process a charge or charges on their credit card in the amount of the total purchase price for the merchandise which they purchase. Zenutrients.com.ph reserves the right to restrict multiple quantities of an item being shipped to any one customer or postal address.

By making an offer to purchase merchandise, you expressly authorize us to perform credit checks and, where Zenutrients.com.ph feels necessary, to transmit or to obtain information (including any updated information) about you to or from third parties from time to time, including but not limited to your credit-card number or credit reports (including credit reports for your spouse if you reside in a community property jurisdiction), to authenticate your identity, to validate your credit card, to obtain an initial credit card authorization and to authorize individual purchase transactions.

Orders

All orders are subject to acceptance and availability.

Zenutrients.com.ph offers products for sale that are in stock and available for dispatch from our distribution center. Occasionally, however, we may be waiting for shipments from our designer suppliers. Consequently you may from time to time be given the possibility of making an Advance Payment for certain items in which case you are able to make an Advance Purchase. This will ensure that you receive this item in priority once designer stock has been delivered to Zenutrients.com.ph. Zenutrients.com.ph will only take Advance Purchase orders for stock that has been scheduled for delivery by a designer/supplier. Your rights regarding Advance Purchase are the same as those for any other purchase at Zenutrients.com.ph. Alternatively, you may simply choose to register your email address for notification of arrival of the selected merchandise not held in stock.

Items received into stock may be pre-allocated to satisfy Advance Payment orders and customers making Advance Payments will receive items in priority to customers on the Waiting List or customers ordering through the Site for immediate delivery. Please be aware that we may be unable to deliver selected Advance Payment merchandise due to production problems or quality check issues identified when we receive an order into stock. In these circumstances we will notify you by email and refund the Advance Payment to your credit card within thirty days of being advised that merchandise has become unavailable.

If you have registered your email address for notification of the arrival of a specific product featured on our Site, we will attempt to notify you by email within 48 hours of the product becoming available on the Site. Please note that on occasion certain products that are in particularly high demand will sell out during this period.

Please note that items in your shopping basket/cart are not reserved and may be purchased by other customers.

Pricing Policy

Prices shown on the Site are in PHP (Philippine Pesos) and are inclusive of VAT at the applicable rate.

All prices and offers remain valid as advertised from time to time. The PHP price of a product displayed on the Site at the time the order is accepted will be honored, except in cases of patent error.

Product prices are set at the beginning of each season using existing currency exchange rates. These prices are subject to change if the applicable currency exchange rate changes before your order is accepted or the items are subject to markdowns at any time during the selling period.

Customers purchasing from Zenutrients.com.ph will be charged for the items purchased and shipping costs only. Import duty or tax costs will be invoiced to you directly by the courier like DHL, FedEx, Air 21 or an import broker appointed by you, We recommend you contact your local customs authority to determine a landed cost price prior to purchase completion.

If you are a customer whose credit card is not denominated in PHP, the final price will be calculated in accordance with the applicable exchange rate on the day your credit card company processes the transaction.

Acceptance of Your Order

Once you have made your choice and your order has been placed, you will receive an email acknowledging the details of your order. This email is not an acceptance of your order, just a confirmation that we have received it.

Unless you cancel your order, acceptance of your order and completion of the contract between you and Zenutrients.com.ph will be completed when we email you to confirm the goods have been dispatched. The sale contract is therefore concluded in the Philippines where our operation center is located and the language of the contract is English.

We reserve the right not to accept your order in the event, for example, that we are unable to obtain authorization for payment, that shipping restrictions apply to a particular item, that the item ordered is out of stock or does not satisfy our quality control standards and is withdrawn, or that you do not meet the eligibility criteria set out within the TOS.

We may also refuse to process and therefore accept a transaction for any reason or refuse service to anyone at any time at our sole discretion. We will not be liable to you or any third party by reason of our withdrawing any merchandise from the Site whether or not that merchandise has been sold; removing, screening or editing any materials or content on the Site; refusing to process a transaction or unwinding or suspending any transaction after processing has begun.

Payment

Payment can be made by Visa, Visa Electron, MasterCard, American Express, Delta, and Maestro debit cards and any other methods which may be clearly advertised on the Site from time to time. Payment will be debited and cleared from your account upon dispatch of your order by Zenutrients.com.ph. You confirm that the credit/debit card that is being used is yours or that you have been specifically authorized by the owner of the credit/debit card to use it. All credit/debit card holders are subject to validation checks and authorization by the card issuer. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to authorize payment to Zenutrients.com.ph, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery.

We take all reasonable care to make our Site secure. All credit card transactions on this site are processed using Paypal, Moneybookers and/or Smart Money.

To help ensure that your shopping experience is safe, simple and secure Zenutrients.com.ph uses Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology.

Furthermore, we will take all reasonable care, in so far as it is in our power to do so, to keep the details of your order and payment secure, but in the absence of negligence on our part we cannot be held liable for any loss you may suffer if a third party procures unauthorized access to any data you provide when accessing or ordering from the Site.

Insurance and Delivery

Zenutrients.com.ph insures each purchase during the time it is in transit until it is delivered to your specified delivery address. We require a signature for any goods delivered, at which point responsibility for your purchased goods passes to you. If you have specified a recipient who is not you for delivery purposes (for example as a gift) then you accept that evidence of a signature by them (or at that delivery address) is evidence of delivery and fulfillment by Zenutrients.com.ph and transfer of responsibility in the same way.

Please note that we aim to dispatch all orders within 48 hours. Estimated delivery times are to be used as a guide only and commence from the date of dispatch, Zenutrients.com.ph are not responsible for any delays caused by destination customs clearance processes.

Tracking Your Order

You can check the current status of your shipment by signing into your account and selecting My Account. Click on the “View Button”of your Order ID/#, you’ll find your tracking number there.

Zenutrients.com.ph will store a record of your transactions for a minimum of one year.

Returns and Exchanges

All items sold in Zenutrients.com.ph goes through our quality control procedures. We inspect every item before it is shipped, and all goods are shipped fully insured in case of loss or damage. Because we feel that we offer the highest quality products at the best prices, and we inspect and pack all our orders with care, we think you will be extremely satisfied with your purchase.

However, there are times when items are damaged, defective, or incorrectly shipped. If this is the case for you, we will gladly replace them. If you have a need to return goods to us for whatever reason, please e-mail shop@Zenutrients.com.ph outlining the reason for return and request your Returns Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number within 7 days of order receipt, and return your unwanted items within 14 days of receiving your RMA number for an exchange for the same item in a different size or any product that we carry. (based on stock availability).

We recommend that you insure the return shipment as you are under a duty to take reasonable care of the goods and will be liable for damage to them until we receive them at our operations center. In case of dispute, we also recommend you retain proof of sending.

Returns do not include shipping postage. If you refuse the order, you will be charged for all shipping, delivery and storage incurred. All returned merchandise must be unopened and in original condition.

Items may also be returned within seven days but the original shipping fee will not be refunded and the shipping fee for the returned item will be shouldered by the buyer. Furthermore, a restocking fee of 20% of the item's value will be charged to the buyer.

Items may be exchanged within seven days with other items for sale in Zenutrients.com.ph. The shipping fee for the original item will not be refunded and the shipping fees for the new item and the item to be exchanged will be shouldered by the buyer.

All merchandise must be returned in the condition they were received and in original packaging.

Our Policy

Items should be returned unused, and with all Zenutrients.com.ph and designer garment tags still attached. Returns that are damaged or soiled may not be accepted and may be sent back to the customer and/or a refund refused.

Where provided, belts and any designer packaging such as authenticity cards, dust bags and leather tags should be included with your return.

Please email shop@Zenutrients.com.ph if any of your purchases have been delivered without Zenutrients.com.ph tags.

All items returned should have a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number to ease the process. Unidentified returns may be returned to the sender.

Faulty Goods Policy

Goods are faulty if they are received damaged or where a manufacturing fault occurs within 1 month of purchase. Please note that items that are damaged as a result of normal wear and tear are not considered to be faulty.

If you would like to exchange a faulty item, please be aware that we can only replace it for the same product in the same size, subject to availability. Where possible, we will offer to repair faulty items. If it cannot be repaired or the same product is not available, you are entitled to a full refund.

You need to email us or notify us within 24 hours of receiving your order about faulty or damaged goods.

Colors

We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colors of our products that appear on Zenutrients.com.ph. However, as computer monitors vary, we cannot guarantee that your monitor's display of any color will be completely accurate.

Your use of the Sites and its contents grants no rights to you in relation to any copyright, designs, trademarks and any other intellectual property and material rights relating to the Content (as described in the Content section below), including Zenutrients.com.ph Software and all HTML and other code contained in this Site. All such Content, including third party trademarks, designs and related intellectual property rights mentioned or displayed on this Site are protected by national intellectual property and other laws and international treaty provisions. You are permitted to use the Content only as expressly authorized by Zenutrients.com.ph and/or its third party licensors. Any reproduction or redistribution of the above listed Content is prohibited and may result in civil and criminal penalties. Compensation

Cash on Delivery

  1. Select Cash on Delivery on the payment options. Please make sure the delivery address is within the serviceable area. Cash on Delivery is within Metro Manila only.

PayPal

  5. Check your e-mail for the selected fund source-specific instructions and complete your payment accordingly. Please make sure all steps have been followed; otherwise, payment may be rendered invalid.
  6. Pay on your selected bank. Please make sure to take note the Bank, DragonPay Reference number, Account Number, Account Name and Amount. When deposit is completed, go to the provided link from the instruction, and fill up the details within the same day to validate.

Returns and Exchanges

All items sold in Zenutrients.com.ph goes through our quality control procedures. We inspect every item before it is shipped, and all goods are shipped fully insured in case of loss or damage. Because we feel that we offer the highest quality products at the best prices, and we inspect and pack all our orders with care, we think you will be extremely satisfied with your purchase.

However, there are times when items are damaged, defective, or incorrectly shipped. If this is the case for you, we will gladly replace them. If you have a need to return goods to us for whatever reason please email info@zenutrients.com.ph outlining the reason for return and request your Returns Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number within 7 days of order receipt, and return your unwanted items within 14 days of receiving your RMA number for an exchange for the same item in a different size or any product that we carry. (Based on stock availability).

We recommend that you insure the return shipment as you are under a duty to take reasonable care of the goods and will be liable for damage to them until we receive them at our operations center. In case of dispute, we also recommend you retain proof of sending.

Returns do not include shipping postage. If you refuse the order, you will be charged for all shipping, delivery and storage incurred. All returned merchandise must be unopened and in original condition.

Items may also be returned within seven days but the original shipping fee will not be refunded and the shipping fee for the returned item will be shouldered by the buyer.

Items may be exchanged within seven days with other items for sale in Zenutrients.com.ph. The shipping fee for the original item will not be refunded and the shipping fees for the new item and the item to be exchanged will be shouldered by the buyer.

All merchandise must be returned in the condition they were received and in original packaging.

All our products are made with natural and sometimes even raw ingredients, dry ingredients, oils and extracts. There will be inconsistencies and differences – because that’s only natural.

We cannot control nature (and we don’t want to) – so it’s best to allow for some room of difference from each batch of ingredients, that end up in different batches of products.

This only means we are trying to give you the ingredients in their most natural, untouched state. Which to us, also means a better quality product.
