It’s almost my birthday!  Though getting a year older, I don’t mind!  I’m honestly excited as I can’t wait to celebrate my 35th birthday with Baby Kyle! 🙂  I can still remember how happy I was last year with the little bundle of joy inside my tummy as he excitedly moved inside as my family sang Happy Birthday to me!  Now, I can literally see him smile and clap on my special day! 🙂

Seriously, how excited I could get?  My birthday is not until Friday!  Yes it’s on the 28th!  But please bear with me…that’s how I am..perky! LOL

Today, I will be sharing my Zenutrients favorite!  Because of Sampleroom, I was able to try Zenutrients products which I possibly wouldn’t try on my own!  Speaking from the bottom of my heart, not because I’m one of Sampleroom’s ambassadors but because I highly believe in Trying before Buying!  So please head on to the Sampleroom website, earn points and grab samples!  The company is match made in heaven for bloggers like myself.

Back to Zenutrients!  *laughs*  How can my introduction get that long?

I honestly haven’t tried all the products above!  But let me share to you my thoughts on some of the products I’ve tried.  Aside from the bunch of Zenutrients products above, I gave All Is Well Salve a try and loved it so much!  I loved it so much I forgot to include the product

on the group shot above!  I was sick with really bad cold and cough a couple of weeks ago and because I’m breastfeeding Kyle, I went for the “painful” route and decided not to take any medication!  It was the hardest thing to be sick and not take any medication at all!  Thankfully, when Baby AMW is asleep, I would rub All Is Well Salve all over my neck and chest and it gave me the instant relief!  Fellow mommies have to keep in mind not to use this with your baby around you as any products with Eucalyptus & Mint shouldn’t get closet o your little one.
I did mention we moved home right?  Well, we weren’t the only ones who “moved in” our new place, mosquitoes also celebrated with us and the AMW family got a wonderful welcome surprise on the first night at the new place!  All 3 of us woke up with several mosquito bites!  As much as I would love to call in Pest Control companies to bombard out home with pesticides, again, it is impossible with baby around!  Thankfully, at 2am, I remembered the Bug Repellant Spray I got from Zenutrients so I rummaged my organized “pile” and I literally lifted my arms and shouted “EUREKA!” when I finally found it! I sprayed this in all doors, hallway and windows hoping to “shoo” the bugs away!  Aside from repelling mosquitoes, our room smells so good, lemongrass gives a rejuvenating scent!
Next, I’m trying the Green Tea Reed Diffuser which I will put next to our air-conditioner for an instant “SPA-like” moment!  Nothing beats having some relaxing scent on a newly painted room! *blech*
Have you tried any Zenutrients products?
Which is your favorite?  Any other recommendations?

Can I just say, it’s hard to feel beautiful when your back feels like an 60-year old’s! I’m always hunched in front of the laptop so my neck and upper back sometimes feel stiff. Last week, the stiffness has evolved into a dull ache. It’s not really that painful but I can feel the muscles all knotted up!

Then I remembered that I just got the Zenutrients All is Well Salve (P88/20g and P225/50g) in a press kit. I blogged about some of my fave Zenutrients stuff before, and I really liked the Ginger Rx for muscle aches. Perhaps this salve can do the same, or even better?

It did! I rubbed some of the salve on my neck/upper back and sure enough, the muscles felt less tight and achy after an hour. I couldn’t believe it. Maybe I’m giving it a placebo effect? I tried it again the next day and I got the same positive results. Placebo effect or not, it helped my back feel better! I’m not going to argue!

This salve smells a lot like Vicks Vapor Rub, but less offensive and oily. The smell doesn’t stay on as agressively as Vicks does. It feels minty on the skin but the feeling is gone after half an hour or so. The salve also doesn’t linger and feel sticky at all, since it’s kinda gel-like.

I do wish that the full ingredients are stated on the label. It only says green tea, eucalyptus, and mint. But what else is there? I would like to know the full ingredients; I’m not entirely comfortable not knowing. If something promises that it’s “guaranteed natural and organic” I think that the burden of proof weighs heavier on the brand.

Nevertheless, I like the Zenutrients All is Well Salve and will continue to use it. It works on my back plus I think I can use this when I have coughs and colds, too. ^_^ Try it out some time!

You can find Zenutrients in the following locations

You can purchase some handpicked Zenutrients stuff online at Seek The Uniq, too.

Angela Dinglasan is the general manager of The Greenhouse Inc, the company behind Zenutrients. She was a returning expat having worked for an international FMCG for 7 years where she was based in Shanghai and Bangkok. Her brand did not start from scratch, as she made the rounds of the bazaars and weekend markets around the Metro. It now has grown to 21 stores today.

I rotate a lot between our products especially when it comes to stuff for my hair or body, I try all our concoctions myself! I’m not a makeup junkie, but I am a skin and hair care fanatic (a great trait when you run a beauty brand)! I divided my products into categories (force of habit haha)

SKINCARE: I always remove any makeup first, even if it’s just eyeliner and powder, I use my Slimming Massage Oil, it’s so rich in Virgin Coconut Oil it really works as a remover too! I wash with our glycerin soaps; it doesn’t have much oil so it works perfectly for oily skin like mine. My favorites are the Cucumber or Green Tea variants. Then I finish up with Argan Oil on my face, under eyes & neck because it’s so light!

MAKEUP: I don’t use much but when I do it’s usually just powder, sometimes eyeliner and always lipstick, Givenchy is my favorite for that! If it’s a big occasion, I recently discovered I looooove the Giorgio Armani Maestro liquid foundation, I have their blush as well! I use the Shu Uemura S curler and Fairy Drops is just the best mascara.

The one piece of makeup I do obsess about would be lipstick, here’s a small sampling of my stash: Shu Uemura, Revlon, Clinique, Dior and VMV

It’s important to switch products weekly, so your hair doesn’t get buildup that may lead to dandruff. My favorite is really our Gugo Shampoo & Conditioner, I used to have alopecia, this has really cleared it up! I use that from Monday to Friday. Weekends, I use either the Green Tea or Calendula Baby Shampoo if I’m not hair-testing one of our new formulations.

I digi-perm every few months, so it can get dry especially at the ends, I keep it well moisturized with our Hair Nourishing Cream when my hair is damp; it really tames fly-aways! On the rare occasion I blow-dry, I use this as a pre-dry protectant too. If I’m at the beach, I use the massage oil I always carry for my hair too. I apply from mid to ends so that it doesn’t dry out in the saltwater!

BODY: Oh boy this will be a loooooooong list!

1. Soaps & Washes: I rotate between our Baby Love, Pure Light, Green Tea, Ginseng & Fresh Start soaps; I also rotate bar soap with our body washes, current favorites are Lavender and the Ginger & Lemongrass (I use as hand soap too; perfect for cooking!)
2. Scrubs & Salts: My favorites would be Coffee scrub (I use a pea-sized amount on my face weekly too), I rotate this with either our the Green Tea or Lavender Epsom salt (soak in this after a long day, even just your feet!)
3. Deodorant: our Tea Tree deo-spray is THE best!
4. Lotions & Oils: I use my Baby Love lotion the most, but I switch it out with the Anti-Cellulite and Slimming Massage Oils as after-shower oils
5. If I workout outdoors I spray on some Eucalyptus & Lemongrass repellent first; Post-workout I use Muscle Mend especially on my thighs and legs
6. I love trying new perfume; my current favorite is Le Labo’s Labdanum…I think I should just make perfume so I buy less haha!
